So we received a lot of follow up from newsletter readers after issuing the last one on Dubai Bars. Many asked "what if I am single" Well we hope this issuetakes care of that dilema.
So yeah, this is Sunil here to talk about the hot Dubai dating scene!
If you are reading this, you are either interested in the dating scene in Dubai or are just simply curious to know more about it. Honestly, it is not much different than anywhere else. It is quite diverse however in the sense that you have modern dating behavior coexisting with the traditional Arab lifestyle.
Dating, as we know is a very commonplace phenomenon all over the world. It is through dating that men and women find life companions or just enjoyable company. Dating regulations and preferences are different in different countries.
While some countries may be very conservative, some societies are broader in their outlook. Traditional countries especially Asian countries like India still view dating as something which is not necessary. This is one of the reasons why arranged marriages are popular there (it is all slowly changing however).
Dubai houses people of various nationalities. The population of Dubai comprises of international expats living in harmony with the traditional Arabs. While the outlook of the Arabs may be more conservative, the American and European influence has kept the practice of dating alive here.
Dubai dating goes on with the aid of various hang outs,dating agencies, etc. The variety in the nationalities had given rise to a unique way of life in Dubai, which skillfully integrates the tradition and modern outlook.
The international community residing in Dubai, especially the Europeans and Americans go on dates to find solace in company. In fact, Dubai sports a lot ofdating services, which offers companionship services for both men and women.
With the advent of technology,online datingis also popular in Dubai as with the other countries. It is often not very difficult to find that special someone here in Dubai though this practice is not very popular with the locals here. For expats however, this is simply MAGIC!
By far the best dating site in Dubai is theArab Lounge. I have recommended this to a few close friends and they have all landed their ideal choice within 30 days. The best thing is that it is confidential and anyone can use it at their convenience and privacy.
As with all other countries around the world, a Dubai man or a woman can be on the look out for casual dating and relationships. This is due to the mix of cultures here with a predominance of Western influence.
Of course, it has to be mentioned here that there are many people here who are only into long lasting and permanent relationships. There is an interesting mix of both types of men and women in Dubai. Dating in Dubai thus cannot be classified under one aspect.
The younger Dubai men who are more focussed on establishing their career and focusing on their work limit their dating to weekends on a moderate level. In contrast to them, there are the party animals who like to date and have fun any time of the week. They are the ones more focussed on having fun rather than on their work.
Dubai girls are a mix too. There are the expat women who look for serious dating and relationships while there are the ones who go about having indiscriminate fun. To review as a whole, society in Dubai is highly segmented, making it hard to generalize.
The traditional local Arab men and women, even though living amidst strong western influence are more conservative in their outlook and lifestyle. It is the international expat segment of the society, which is varied in outlook. Dating in Dubai is thus a mixture of tradition and modern outlook.
Dubai being a free society as compared to other Arab nation-state is a favorite destination for people from all over the world. With immense job opportunities, the mixture of people from different countries and cultural background here is interesting. There is a delicate balance of sentiments and viewpoints prevalent here which can be seen in the Dubai dating scene too.
